In December 2010, the online site devoted to selling all things Kiss to the costumed rock band’s devoted fans announced a new licensing agreement with Eternal Image Inc., a company that designs, manufactures and markets memorial products. As part of a new line of commemorative items marked with official Kiss graphics, the company would be creating a second generation of the “Kiss Kasket,” originally sold in 2001 but discontinued in 2008.
And so, since February 2011, a functional burial casket made of 20-gauge steel with black interior fabric and images of the leather-clad rockers has been available in two versions.
